OUR TEAM

Tammi Bio.jpg

Mrs. Tammi Herkey has spent her life helping women overcome their invisible battles against hormone imbalances. She founded the Menopause and Hormone Specialty Center, in Shreveport, where she has worked as a Board-Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.

Originally from Knox, Pennsylvania, Ms. Herkey received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Daemen College in 1996, and her Master of Science degree from the State University of New York in Buffalo, 1998.

She followed her husband Ron from Buffalo to Shreveport, where they both serve the public good through their careers. Ron works as a police officer, while Tammi works to support struggling women at her center.

Mrs. Herkey has over 20 years’ experience in hormone replacement therapy, including utilisation of pellets, and finds great reward in being able to improve the quality of life in her patients. She is a Platinum level BioTE® Medical Provider, a title only afforded by the top hormone providers. This is an affirmation of her years of experience and research in hormone optimization.

Mrs. Herkey helps women work through some of the most challenging experiences of their lives. She feels that her work is vitally important because it “helps women get their lives back” from the deep struggles that come with menopause.

She is also a lifelong animal lover; she cares for seven dogs, four of which are rescues, and many Koi fish, along with her three children, fuel her passion for life.

OUR BODIES ARE FINELY TUNED MACHINES, and if our hormone mixtures aren't "just right," everything goes into disrepair.
